ENGRAVED TIMBER SIGNS

Signature 3D was borne from Lance Sanderson's love of the age-old craft of woodwork. That was over fifteen years ago and, whilst Signature 3D has since grown with technology to focus on more modern forms of signage, Lance can still be found engraving away in his timber workshop.

Truth is I love working with timber and get a kick out of having my signs all over Australia. How long do they last?.........How long does a hole last in a piece of wood?

Unlike most forms of modern signage - engraved timber signs are long lasting, easily re-paintable and, to many, look even better as they gain an aged appearance.

All slabs are carefully crafted to ensure the natural appeal of the beautiful timber is maintained. Cracks and knots are reinforced with marine grade epoxy resin glue - often not visible on the sign face as it has been poured into the timber to strengthen the slab without changing the look of it's natural characteristics. Quality workmanship with best quality materials to ensure excellent durability in the harsh Australian conditions they are subjected to. Preference is given to selecting hardwood slabs such as Blackbut, Iron Bark, & Sydney Blue Gum. (Watch video demonstration)

For customers ordering online, Lance can select the slab for you, photograph it upload it for you to view, with your graphics digitally superimposed on to the slab.

Where fasteners are placed through the sign face, suitable counter sunk holes are often machined into the sign and matching wooden plugs provided to conceal bolt heads.
